I have owned the Edge 14 for two weeks. I am pleased with the overall workmanship and performance. I opted for the 14 over the 13 because I wanted a larger screen and an internal DVD. I sacrificed weight (5 lbs) and battery life (3+ hours). Second choice was the Toshiba Portege R700. I liked the feel of the keyboard on the Edge. Typing so far has been a dream. I ordered the matte black finish which shows NO signs of fingerprints.

I bought this computer about two months ago and I so very happy with it.
I have three laptops so far. I bought a IBM thinkpad in 2000 for my wife which still works but cannot do wireless. About three years ago I bought a Dell which became problematic about one year later (it would freeze whenever the fan starts and takes about 4 minutes to start). Out of furstrution with the Dell computer I bought this one, and I am not disappoiinted.
I like the small size of this computer, the design and the spill-proof keyboards. With my Dell the wireless internet connection often breaks but with this computer I never experience the same problem even though it is the same wireless connection.

Bought this from Amazon after researching quite a bit. Shortlisted this in addition to Toshiba Satellite u500 and Dell Studio 15. I have been using this for about 2 weeks now and its a great piece of machine. I have been using Dell XPS M1330 before and its a great replacement. The famous Thinkpad keyboard takes a bit getting used to but once it does it a pleasure typing. Screen is nice and bright even without a dedicated graphic card. Super fast bootup around 30-45 sec and no problem multitasking. Standard battery (6cell) on a full charge last around 3:30 - 4:00 hours (basic surfing and word processing tasks). Speakers are loud. One thing I'd change about this machine is the glossy cover, I prefer matte but the matte black version with the configuration I was looking for was not available.
