The HP Pavilion DV4-2173nrs the best laptop iveever had, theres a bunch of people who say HP has a lot of defects but dont listen to them! Theyre either lying or they treat their computers like junk and thats why they need a new one. Its Fast, Accurate, HD, has a cool design, and a little HP logo in the back that lights up when its on. It has only one con I can think of, the battery lfe is pretty short if your a heavy duty downloader like me. But if you need more battery life just buy a High Capacity HP battery. Hope this helped :)

I purchased 2 of these lap tops from Amazon. One for my son who will be starting High School this Fall and one for myself. I recently started working from home and found that I needed to be able to access information when I'm not near my desk top computer. This lap top has satisfied both the needs of myself and my son.

The HP Pavilion dv4-2173nr was a great buy! The new Core i5 processor has amazing speed, especially combined with 4gb of RAM and a 7200 rpm, 500 GB HDD. Brilliant screen colors and a beautiful black outer casing. It's also pretty light-weight, making it easy to travel with. I would highly recommend this laptop at the great Amazon.com price.

It literally fell apart after 15 months.HP does not stand by their products:
A small crack started near the hinge and the screen literally split apart making it impossible to close and then it just stopped working all together.
This laptop was very carefully taken care of and never abused or dropped.
We brought it in to Best Buy and they said it should have lasted a lot longer than that and they could clearly tell it was never dropped or abused.
Went round and round with HP to no avail. They do not stand by their products. Best Buy gave us a $100 off a new laptop because they felt bad about
the situation and of course we did not purchase another HP and never will !!!
